I've learned many important things through your post. I would also like to convey that there is a situation in which you will obtain a loan and never need a cosigner such as a Fed Student Support Loan. But if you are getting a borrowing arrangement through a common lender then you need to be prepared to have a co-signer ready to enable you to. The lenders are going to base any decision on a few aspects but the largest will be your credit rating. There are some financial institutions that will as well look at your job history and decide based on this but in many cases it will be based on on your score.

Superior Windows & Doors is a great place to work with, by the way, if you live in Southern Oregon (or perhaps even further away, you'll have to ask Roy). I worked with them for years when I was contracting. Check out their website if you're interested. It's www.superior4windows.com.

Superior Windows & Doors has made the Masonite Safe n Sound doors our "standard" solid core door for the past 2 years.

Not only do they contain no-added-formaldehyde cores....but they are just a hair less expensive than the old particle board doors. A win win for everyone!

My buddy Woj used to sell a line of speakers made of strawboard and of reclaimed wood. He figures the sound properties and density were pretty ideal, but it got expensive and hard to source. Zero VOC was a big selling point for him as working with MDF is none too healthy.

The subwoofer he built me is strawboard and my speakers are salvaged driftwood -you can see mineral deposits in the old growth fir, very likely logged in the Queen Charlottes 40 years ago and washed up near Gibsons. They sound great and look spectacular!
