Straw Bale Village Residence
This straw bale home was built by our very own Andrew Morrison and designed by Chris Keefe of www.OrganicFormsDesign.com. This structure is a "common wall" unit and houses two residences. On the other side of this home is the other two story unit. The residents couldn't be happier with the experience of living in a straw bale home and are proud of how low their utility bills are. Even though this part of Oregon sees over 95 degree days frequently in the summer, neither of these units has air conditioning, yet their interior temperature is a cool 68-72 degrees inside!
