Hello Mr. Morrison, I have a question regarding straw bale structure. Had intended to build straw bale but have a time discrepancy and was wondering if I could put the bales around an already exiting structure and attach them to it? Thank you for your experience, time and thoughts.

Andrew, one of the rooms in my building is long and narrow. I will be using a stick frame to hold up the roof so I will wrap the straw bales around the studs, but I am wondering how wide of a span would you dare make across a room with traditional roof joists made from 2 X 4’s.
